A caxixi made by filling a woven rattan basket with seeds and capping the base with a smooth coconut plate. Shake it sideways and the seeds brush the basket for a soft hush; shake it up and down and they hit the coconut for a harder, almost metallic crack. Two sounds in one.
Hand-made in Indonesia and sourced on a Fair Trade basis.
