Extra Large Ghanaian Djembe Drum (13" Head)

A seriously impressive instrument. This large-headed Ghanaian djembe is hand-carved from Tweneboa wood — an African cedar — and produces the kind of booming bass and explosive slap tones that command attention in any setting.

The shell features authentic hand-carved decorative patterns and is strung with a thick, unbleached goat skin head and heavy-duty rope tuning. Played with the bare hands, it rewards the full range of djembe technique and produces a huge dynamic range.

The wood is purchased through the Forestry Commission of Ghana, ensuring responsible sourcing from fast-growing managed stock. Each drum is made individually by skilled Ghanaian drummers.
