Large African Monkey Drum - Ghana

A traditional stick-and-bead hand drum with a goat-skin head, the rim and handle wrapped in bold printed fabric and finished with a leather loop for hanging. Roll the handle between your palms and the beads spin to strike each face, building a fast, rhythmic chatter. Also known as a monkey or pellet drum.

Made in Ghana and sourced on a Fair Trade basis, supporting fair wages for the makers.
