A kalimba with seven metal tines set on a hand-carved board over a coconut-shell resonator. Pluck one tine and its neighbours ring in sympathy, building a wonderfully complex wash of tones. Loosen the screws and slide the tines to tune your own scale — Western, traditional African, or something all your own. A natural product, so each varies slightly in size, shape and voice.
Hand-made in Indonesia and sourced on a Fair Trade basis.
